WSFS Financial Corporation , the parent company of WSFS Bank, has announced the appointment of Lynn Hobson as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), effective December 2, 2024. Simultaneously, the company revealed that its former CMO, Justin Dunn, has transitioned into the newly created role of Chief Community Impact Officer (CCIO). These strategic moves aim to enhance WSFS’ influence and commitment to the Greater Philadelphia and Delaware region, further aligning its marketing and community impact strategies with its corporate mission.
Strengthening Marketing Leadership
Lynn Hobson brings a wealth of expertise to her new role as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. With a career spanning over 16 years at BNY Mellon’s Pershing, she rose to the position of Director and Head of Marketing. There, she led strategic go-to-market initiatives across technology, wealth solutions, and partner marketing for both Pershing and its innovation-focused subsidiary, Pershing X.
At WSFS, Hobson will oversee the bank’s comprehensive marketing and communications strategies, including brand awareness, internal and external communications, digital marketing, data analytics, advertising, and customer experience. Reporting to Arthur Bacci, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, she will play a critical role in driving innovative growth strategies across WSFS’ diverse business lines.
“On the marketing side, we are excited by Lynn’s proven ability to develop and support innovative organic growth strategies and enterprise projects, helping to increase the impact of our marketing efforts across our diverse business lines,” said Bacci. “Her expertise will strengthen our ability to deliver meaningful value to our clients and elevate our brand presence.”
A New Role for Community Impact
Justin Dunn, who has served as WSFS’ Chief Marketing Officer, now takes on the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Community Impact Officer. In this newly established position, Dunn will lead WSFS’ Community Strategy and Reinvestment efforts. His responsibilities include overseeing volunteer initiatives, financial education programming, the WSFS CARES Foundation, and the organization’s sponsorships and events. He will report to Shari Kruzinski, Executive Vice President and Chief Consumer Banking Officer.
With a dedicated focus on community engagement, Dunn’s role reflects WSFS’ commitment to expanding its support for clients and communities as the organization continues to grow. “Given the importance of our community efforts, Justin will be the dedicated leader to unite these functions, effectively scale them with our continued growth, and position WSFS as a premier community partner,” said Bacci.
Maximizing Regional Impact
These leadership changes underscore WSFS’ dual commitment to driving business success and fostering meaningful community connections. With Hobson’s marketing expertise and Dunn’s deep understanding of WSFS’ community initiatives, the organization is poised to strengthen its regional presence while enhancing its role as a community partner.
“These two roles will help define WSFS’ presence in our region and enhance the impact we can make for our clients and communities,” said Bacci.
A Vision for Growth and Community Engagement
WSFS Financial Corporation has long been recognized for its dedication to serving the Greater Philadelphia and Delaware region. By aligning its leadership with these strategic appointments, the organization aims to advance its mission of delivering exceptional value to both clients and communities.
Hobson’s proven track record of developing innovative growth strategies and driving impactful marketing campaigns will undoubtedly elevate WSFS’ marketing capabilities. Meanwhile, Dunn’s leadership in the new CCIO role ensures a concentrated focus on expanding the organization’s community impact initiatives, including financial education and volunteer programs.
As WSFS continues to evolve, these appointments reflect its ongoing commitment to balancing business growth with community stewardship. Together, Hobson and Dunn will play pivotal roles in shaping the future of WSFS, driving meaningful progress for the organization and the region it serves.
