Global IT company FPT Software has announced a strategic partnership with Vilja, a leading Nordic provider of core banking services. Through this collaboration, FPT Software aims to enhance its financial services portfolio by offering innovative digital banking solutions to customers worldwide. The partnership will leverage FPT Software’s technical expertise and global reach to introduce Vilja’s cloud-native, API-first banking platform to global enterprises, with an initial focus on Asia’s fast-growing digital economy.
The collaboration includes the creation of an R&D center in Asia, dedicated to developing innovations in digital banking, particularly in areas like deposits and loans. Dzung Tran, CEO of FPT Software Europe, emphasized that combining FPT Software’s experience with Vilja’s innovative solutions will provide financial institutions with enhanced security, scalability, and user experience, helping them thrive in today’s digital landscape.
Fredrik Ulvenholm, CEO of Vilja, highlighted that the partnership strengthens Vilja’s position as a global leader in cloud-native core banking solutions, starting with a focused expansion in Southeast Asia and ASEAN countries.
FPT Software has over a decade of experience in the European market, serving more than 150 leading companies across industries. The partnership with Vilja was formalized during the Vietnam-Sweden Economic Forum in Stockholm, Sweden, attended by dignitaries and business leaders from both countries.
