GRUPO SUPERVIELLE S.A. (NYSE: SUPV), known as “the Company,” has disclosed the filing of its annual report on Form 20-F for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2023, with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on April 26, 2024.
The financial statements for the year 2023 were prepared in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as adopted by the Central Bank of the Republic of Argentina (BCRA). However, there were exceptions: (i) IFRS 9 “Financial Instruments” regarding expected credit losses of financial instruments in the public sector; (ii) the option to classify holdings in dual bonds at either amortized cost or fair value through other comprehensive income; and (iii) the optional application of IFRS 17 “Insurance Contracts” until mandated by the BCRA.
Despite these exceptions, the financial statements submitted to the SEC are presented under IFRS without any deviations, as partial adoption of IFRS is not permitted. Significant differences exist between the financial statements filed with the SEC and those issued under BCRA standards.
