Deutsche Bank Funds Construction of Goorambat East Solar Farm

Deutsche Bank has announced the closing of an AUD 348 million debt and bank guarantee facility for the Goorambat East Solar Farm. The bank will serve as the Initial Financer, Bank Guarantee Facility Provider, and Hedge Provider for this project.

The 250 MW Goorambat East Solar Farm is being developed by ENGIE ANZ, with construction and commissioning expected to be completed by 2026.

Rachel Chia, Deutsche Bank’s Head of Project Finance for Asia Pacific, commented: “Deutsche Bank is proud to offer a comprehensive financing solution to support ENGIE ANZ in developing the Goorambat East Solar Farm, further advancing renewable energy in Victoria.”

This project is Deutsche Bank’s 23rd renewable asset financed in Australia since 2021.

Upon completion, the solar farm will have the capacity to generate enough electricity to power approximately 105,000 average Victorian homes, enhancing energy security in the state.

Laura Caspari, Managing Director of Renewables at ENGIE ANZ, added: “The Goorambat East Solar Farm project is a major private investment in regional Victoria, expected to create around 250 jobs during construction and establish a community benefit fund to provide long-term advantages for Goorambat and surrounding areas.
