CNBC Names FIS Among Top 250 Fintech Companies for Banking Solutions

FIS Recognized by CNBC as a Top 250 Fintech Company for Banking Solutions

FIS® (NYSE: FIS), a global leader in financial technology, announced today that CNBC has recognized it as one of the world’s top 250 fintech companies for the second consecutive year. In collaboration with Statista, CNBC identified FIS as a top fintech company in the Banking Solutions category, based on key performance indicators.

“FIS’ vision is to unlock financial technology to the world,” said John Durrant, President of Banking Solutions at FIS. “Whether helping to protect money at rest, facilitating money in motion, or optimizing money at work, we’re continuing to power institutions ranging from multinational banks to local credit unions that America’s communities rely on. We are honored to be recognized by CNBC for our leading position in the industry and look forward to continued success in the future.”

This recognition follows significant advancements FIS has made this year to introduce innovative fintech solutions, including the February launch of its Open Access platform to enhance secure open banking accessibility for clients and their customers.

In the past three months, FIS announced two new fintech innovations:

  1. Atelio™ by FIS: An innovative fintech platform providing the building blocks for financial institutions, businesses, and software developers to embed financial services into their offerings. According to Bain Capital, the demand for embedded finance capabilities is accelerating, predicted to grow to 10% of transactions, valued at $7 trillion, or over $50 billion in revenue by 2026.
  2. Digital One™ Flex Mobile 6.0: FIS’ new mobile banking application designed for financial institutions aiming to leverage top-tier digital capabilities to enhance customer loyalty. Recent FIS research found that over 8 in 10 people surveyed in the UK use financial apps, with mobile banking cited as the top reason for their loyalty to their primary bank across all generations surveyed.

Additionally, FIS CEO and President Stephanie Ferris was named American Banker’s Most Influential Woman in Fintech for 2024, following her nomination to the list of honorees.
