This represents a 43% increase in loan volume compared to the same period last year, with a total of 1,900 loans granted across Spain.
The funding was primarily allocated to projects aimed at renovating tourist facilities, acquiring hotels, and implementing innovations and sustainability initiatives. It also supported the daily operations of businesses through working capital products. The Balearic Islands, Catalonia, the Canary Islands, Andalusia, and the Community of Madrid were the top recipients of CaixaBank’s credit in the sector.
With a loan portfolio of €8.4 billion and over 12,000 clients, CaixaBank Hotels & Tourism is a leading player in this market segment. Last year, the bank set a record by granting €2.85 billion in loans to the sector, marking its highest annual allocation for tourist accommodation financing.
