Barclays has appointed Rob Patterson as the new Head of Data & Information Platforms Coverage within its Technology Investment Banking division. Based in New York, Patterson will report to Kristin Roth DeClark, the Global Head of Technology Investment Banking.
“Rob has outstanding knowledge of the Data & Information space. His proven leadership capabilities, deep roster of key industry relationships, and extensive transactional experience will enable him to deliver significant value for our clients,” said Roth DeClark.
Patterson joins Barclays from Morgan Stanley, where he spent nearly 20 years, most recently as Managing Director overseeing Marketing, Information, and Technology-enabled Services Investment Banking. During his tenure, he led numerous M&A and capital markets transactions for prominent clients, including Accenture, Experian, and Nielsen. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Patterson worked at UBS.
The appointment is part of Barclays’ broader strategy to enhance its Technology Investment Banking team, following David King’s recent appointment as Global Head of Technology M&A. Barclays has recently been involved in significant transactions, including leading the $4.9 billion Arm IPO, the largest since 2021, and advising Nuvei Corporation on its $6.3 billion sale to Advent International.
