Barclays Names Bradley Rogoff as Global Head of Research

Barclays has announced the appointment of Brad Rogoff as Global Head of Research, effective October 1, 2024. Currently serving as the Head of FICC Research, Rogoff is based in New York and will report to Stephen Dainton, Head of Investment Bank Management and President of BBPLC. In his new role, Rogoff will also join the Investment Bank Management Team and the US Executive Committee, and he will chair the Research Executive Forum.

“Brad is integral to the Barclays Research franchise. His extensive experience and strong track record of delivering outstanding client solutions make him the ideal candidate to lead our research strategy forward,” said Stephen Dainton.

Rogoff’s career began in 2002 when he joined the Lehman Brothers graduate program. He transitioned to Barclays in 2008 following the acquisition. By 2016, he took on global management responsibilities for the Emerging Market Corporate Credit Research team, and in 2018, his role expanded to include the Developed Market Credit Research team. In 2022, Rogoff assumed global oversight for FICC research.

Under Rogoff’s leadership, Barclays achieved a Top 3 global ranking for Fixed Income Research in Institutional Investor’s annual surveys in both 2022 and 2023. His team has consistently ranked highly in the High Yield Credit Strategy category since 2009, and their US Credit Alpha publication has been recognized as one of the best weekly credit research publications for over a decade.

“With Brad’s leadership, Barclays Research will continue to provide innovative and differentiated content to help clients navigate the constantly evolving market landscape,” added Dainton.

Earlier in 2024, Barclays was ranked in the Top 5 for European Equity Research for the second consecutive year in the Extel (formerly Institutional Investor) annual survey, with significant market share gains among banks. Additionally, Barclays ranked #1 for pan-European Research, #1 for UK Research, and was placed #4 globally as a research firm by Institutional Investor surveys in 2023.
