A+ Federal Credit Union Encourages Community to Vote for Local Organizations for $10,000 A+ Gives Day Donation

A+ Federal Credit Union (A+FCU) is hosting its third annual A+ Gives Day, an employee-led initiative dedicated to giving back to the community. Over 500 A+FCU employees, both local and across the nation, will volunteer with organizations throughout Central Texas and beyond, supporting the credit union’s mission to strengthen communities through charitable efforts.

As part of A+ Gives Day, A+FCU is inviting the community to participate by voting daily for local organizations to receive donations. Voting will determine which five deserving organizations will each receive a $2,000 donation. The voting period runs from September 16 through September 29, and community members are encouraged to cast their votes online.

“We’re excited to invite the local community to participate in our A+ Gives Day initiative through daily voting. These votes will determine the five organizations that will each receive a $2,000 donation from us during our day of volunteering,” said Eric R. Kase, President/CEO of A+ Federal Credit Union. “A+ Gives Day is our favorite way to show our commitment to building stronger communities. This initiative thrives by engaging our team members, partner organizations, members, and the local community. Together, we’re better.”

In 2023, A+ Gives Day generated over 4,750 votes, and $10,000 was distributed to top-voted organizations through check presentations made by A+FCU volunteers.

A+ Gives Day not only fosters community connections but also strengthens A+FCU’s partnerships with organizations dedicated to causes such as park beautification, community outreach, animal welfare, and combating food insecurity.

This year, A+FCU is celebrating its 75th anniversary of making a positive impact in the communities where its members and employees live and work.

Founded in 1949 by 50 Austin teachers, A+ Federal Credit Union has grown into an award-winning institution with over 189,000 members, $2.51 billion in assets, more than 545 employees, and 22 branches. A+FCU offers a full suite of financial products, including home, auto, and personal loans, along with checking, savings, and digital banking services. The credit union remains closely connected with local schools, providing financial education and support through various programs designed for students and educators alike.
