RemitBee Expands RPass to Enable CADD-Funded Business Payments Across 100+ Countries

RPass by RemitBee Enables CADD-Funded Global Business Payments Across 100+ Countries

RemitBee and Tetra Digital Group have announced the launch of CADD as a funding option within RPass, RemitBee’s global business payments platform. The integration introduces a new way for businesses to fund international payments using digital Canadian dollars while enabling recipients in more than 100 countries to receive funds in their local currencies.

The collaboration connects CADD, Tetra Digital Group’s Canadian digital dollar, with RPass’s established infrastructure for foreign exchange, banking, clearing and international payouts. By combining digital-asset funding with traditional payment rails, the companies aim to give businesses a more direct route for moving Canadian-dollar value across borders.

The development is particularly relevant as businesses and financial institutions continue to explore stablecoins and other digital forms of money for international payments. While much of the stablecoin market has historically been centered on U.S.-dollar-denominated assets, the integration of CADD with RPass provides an alternative for businesses that operate in Canadian dollars and need to make payments internationally.

Connecting Digital Canadian Dollars With Global Payment Infrastructure

CADD launched in May 2026 as a CAD-backed stablecoin issued by a regulated financial institution. The digital currency is designed to represent Canadian-dollar value in digital form, creating an additional mechanism through which Canadian-dollar funds can be transferred and used within digital financial ecosystems.

RPass brings a different part of the payment process to the integration. Built on more than a decade of RemitBee’s experience in international money transfers, the platform provides businesses and fintech companies with access to foreign exchange, banking relationships, clearing capabilities and local payout infrastructure through a single integration.

The combination addresses a key challenge facing digital currencies: moving from an on-chain asset into the traditional financial system and ultimately delivering usable funds to an individual or business in another country.

For a company holding Canadian-dollar digital assets, an international payment can require several steps. The business may need to convert the funds into another currency, navigate banking networks and then arrange delivery through a local payment method. RPass is designed to manage those elements within its global payments infrastructure.

With CADD now available as a funding option, eligible businesses can begin with digital Canadian dollars and use RPass to facilitate the foreign exchange and local payout process.

“We built CADD to expand what’s possible with the Canadian dollar,” said Didier Lavallée, CEO of Tetra Digital Group. “Connecting CADD with RPass gives businesses a practical way to fund international payments in Canadian dollars and reach recipients around the world in their local currency. This is exactly the kind of real-world utility we set out to enable with CADD, and an important step in expanding where and how the Canadian dollar can move digitally.”

Addressing the Challenges of Cross-Border Business Payments

International business payments can involve multiple financial institutions, currencies and payment networks. Companies making recurring payments to suppliers, contractors, employees or business partners in other countries may need to manage currency conversion and local payment requirements separately.

The CADD and RPass integration is intended to simplify that process.

Rather than requiring a business to independently manage the transition from digital Canadian dollars to foreign currency and then arrange a local payout, RPass connects these functions through its payments infrastructure.

The platform provides access to foreign exchange conversion through its liquidity infrastructure and supports multiple local payout methods, including bank deposits, mobile wallets and cash pickup.

This approach allows businesses to use CADD as the funding source while relying on RPass to handle the international payment journey.

The companies say RPass can provide access to more than 4 billion bank accounts through more than 1,000 local payout methods. This broad network gives the integration an international reach while allowing recipients to receive funds through payment methods that are relevant to their local markets.

Stablecoins Move Toward Business Payment Applications

The launch comes at a time when stablecoins are attracting increased attention from businesses and financial institutions seeking alternatives for cross-border payments.

According to Juniper Research, cross-border B2B stablecoin payments are projected to increase from $13.4 billion in 2026 to $5 trillion by 2035. The projected growth reflects growing interest in using blockchain-based digital assets for payment and settlement applications rather than limiting them to trading or investment activity.

Stablecoins can provide a digital representation of fiat currency that can move through blockchain networks. However, their usefulness for businesses depends not only on how quickly or efficiently value can move on-chain but also on how easily that value can enter conventional financial systems.

For many international transactions, the final recipient still expects payment in a familiar local currency and through a conventional financial channel.

This is where payment infrastructure becomes important.

A business may be able to send a stablecoin internationally, but the recipient may not want to hold that asset. Instead, they may need Canadian dollars, U.S. dollars, euros, pounds or another local currency deposited into a bank account or delivered through another local payment method.

The RPass integration is designed to bridge that gap for CADD-funded transactions.

Reducing Additional Currency Conversion

Another feature of the arrangement is its focus on Canadian-dollar funding.

Stablecoin activity has historically been concentrated around U.S.-dollar-denominated tokens. For a Canadian business that holds or generates Canadian-dollar revenue, using a U.S.-dollar stablecoin for an international payment could introduce an additional currency conversion before the payment reaches its destination.

CADD provides a Canadian-dollar-denominated alternative.

Under the combined model, an eligible business can fund a payment using CADD and then rely on RPass for the foreign exchange conversion required for the recipient’s destination country.

This creates a pathway from digital Canadian dollars to an international local-currency payout without requiring the business to independently manage every stage of the transaction.

For businesses that regularly make international payments, reducing the number of separate processes involved can be particularly significant.

A Single API for Businesses and Fintechs

RPass is also designed to support embedded payments through an API.

This means businesses and fintech companies can integrate international payment capabilities into their existing applications, financial workflows and operational systems instead of building separate payment infrastructure from the ground up.

Through the RPass API, eligible businesses can use CADD as a funding mechanism while accessing foreign exchange and international payout capabilities.

The model could be relevant for companies that need to make recurring international payments, including payments to suppliers, contractors, partners and other recipients.

Embedding payment capabilities directly into business software can also allow companies to incorporate international transactions into existing treasury, accounting or operational workflows.

For fintech companies, an API-based approach can provide another way to incorporate cross-border payment functionality into their own products.

Turning an On-Chain Asset Into Usable Payment Value

Yogi Yoganathan, CEO of RPass, emphasized that the ability to connect digital assets with real-world payment destinations is an important part of making stablecoins useful for businesses.

“Stablecoins have solved how value moves on-chain, but a token is only as useful as the places it can go,” said Yoganathan. “We spent a decade building the unglamorous parts of global payments: the banking relationships, the liquidity, and the clearing connections in every corridor. Connecting RPass to CADD means a business can fund a payment in digital Canadian dollars and have a supplier on the other side of the world receive funds in their local currency. That’s how we turn an on-chain asset into something businesses can actually use globally.”

His comments highlight the distinction between blockchain-based settlement and practical payment delivery.

While blockchain networks can provide the infrastructure for transferring digital assets, international business payments still require connections to local banking systems, foreign exchange markets and payout networks.

The RPass platform is intended to provide those connections.

Expanding the Digital Use of the Canadian Dollar

For Tetra Digital Group, the integration also represents an expansion of the potential use cases for CADD.

Rather than limiting a Canadian digital dollar to domestic transactions or digital-asset ecosystems, the partnership connects it to an international payments platform.

Businesses using CADD as an eligible funding source can potentially access payment destinations across more than 100 countries while allowing recipients to receive funds in their local currencies.

The arrangement therefore combines three elements: a digital Canadian-dollar funding asset, international foreign exchange capabilities and local payment infrastructure.

Together, these components create a payment pathway that begins with digital Canadian dollars but ends with a conventional local-currency payment.

What Businesses Can Access

Through the combined CADD and RPass offering, participating businesses will be able to:

  • Fund eligible international payments using CADD.
  • Access foreign exchange conversion through RPass’s liquidity infrastructure.
  • Reach more than 4 billion bank accounts through more than 1,000 local payout methods.
  • Deliver funds through supported payment channels, including bank deposits, mobile wallets and cash pickup.
  • Embed international payment functionality into products and business workflows through the RPass API.
  • Use digital Canadian dollars as a funding source for international transactions.

The availability of these capabilities could be particularly relevant for companies that operate across multiple markets but maintain Canadian-dollar treasury or operating flows.

Building Practical Infrastructure for Digital Payments

The integration between RemitBee and Tetra Digital Group illustrates the broader shift underway in financial services as digital currencies become increasingly connected to established payment infrastructure.

For businesses, the value of a digital currency ultimately depends on whether it can be used within everyday financial operations. That includes the ability to fund transactions, convert currencies, interact with banking systems and deliver money to recipients through familiar channels.

CADD provides the digital Canadian-dollar component, while RPass provides the international payments infrastructure needed to move that value into local markets.

The launch therefore represents more than the addition of another funding option. It demonstrates how stablecoins can be connected to existing financial infrastructure to support practical cross-border business payments.

As international businesses continue to seek faster and more flexible ways to move money, the ability to combine digital assets with established foreign exchange and payout networks could become increasingly important.

For Canadian businesses in particular, the availability of CADD within RPass creates a new route for using Canadian-dollar digital value in international transactions. By connecting CADD with RPass’s global network, RemitBee and Tetra Digital Group are positioning the Canadian dollar for a broader role in digitally enabled cross-border payments.
