WisdomTree Releases Second Quarter 2026 Financial Results

WisdomTree Reports Strong Second Quarter 2026 Results as Assets Under Management Reach Record $162.9 Billion

WisdomTree, Inc. (NYSE: WT), a global asset management and financial innovation company, reported strong financial results for the second quarter of 2026, highlighted by record assets under management (AUM), robust net inflows, higher revenues, improved profitability, and continued expansion through strategic acquisitions and new product launches.

The company generated net income of $44.3 million, or $0.28 per diluted share, during the second quarter ended June 30, 2026. On an adjusted basis, excluding acquisition-related costs and certain non-cash items, net income totaled $48.1 million, or $0.31 per diluted share. The results reflected continued growth across the company’s ETF platform, private markets, digital assets initiatives, and expanding international operations.

Record Assets Under Management Drive Revenue Growth

WisdomTree ended the quarter with record assets under management of $162.9 billion, representing a 6.7% increase from $152.6 billion at the end of the first quarter of 2026.

The increase was fueled by several factors, including:

  • Strong market appreciation.
  • $3.1 billion in net inflows.
  • Assets added through the acquisition of Atlantic House Holdings Limited, completed during the quarter.

Investor demand remained broad-based across both the United States and Europe. The company recorded healthy inflows into its commodity ETFs, international developed equity strategies and U.S. equity products, while leveraged and inverse exchange-traded products experienced modest outflows.

Average assets under management increased to $164.2 billion, compared with $154.7 billion during the previous quarter.

The company’s average advisory fee remained stable at 0.36%, while revenue yield improved to 0.43%, reflecting additional revenues contributed by Atlantic House.

Operating Revenue Climbs More Than 11%

WisdomTree reported operating revenues of $177.2 million, an 11.1% increase from $159.5 million in the first quarter.

Revenue growth was supported by:

  • Higher average AUM.
  • Revenue contributions from Atlantic House.
  • Increased performance fees.
  • Higher revenues generated by European-listed exchange-traded products (ETPs).

Compared with the second quarter of 2025, operating revenue surged more than 57%, demonstrating the company’s expanding global footprint and successful acquisition strategy.

Advisory fees remained the company’s largest revenue source, contributing $146.3 million, while management fees added $5.4 million. Performance fees reached nearly $6.0 million, and other revenues totaled $19.5 million, benefiting from stronger European ETP activity.

For the first six months of 2026, operating revenue reached $336.6 million, up from $220.7 million during the same period last year.

Profitability Improves Despite Higher Investment Spending

Operating income rose to $71.8 million, producing an operating margin of 40.5%, compared with 37.2% during the previous quarter.

On an adjusted basis, excluding acquisition-related costs and intangible asset amortization, the operating margin improved to 42.6%.

Management attributed the improvement primarily to:

  • Strong revenue growth.
  • Lower acquisition-related expenses.
  • Reduced seasonal compensation costs compared with the prior quarter.

These improvements were partially offset by higher amortization expenses related to the Atlantic House acquisition and increased spending associated with planned ETF launches.

Gross margin remained exceptionally strong at 82.9%, although slightly below the previous quarter’s 84.4%, reflecting higher operating investments.

Year-to-date, WisdomTree reported an operating margin of 39.0%, or 41.1% on an adjusted basis, representing significant expansion from the prior-year period.

Operating Expenses Increase with Business Expansion

Total operating expenses increased 5.2% quarter-over-quarter to $105.3 million.

The increase reflected:

  • Higher fund management and administration costs.
  • Increased amortization of acquired intangible assets.
  • Continued investments supporting future product launches.

Compensation and benefits declined sequentially to $43.7 million, primarily because employee incentive compensation is typically higher during the first quarter.

Fund management and administration expenses increased to $30.2 million, while marketing and advertising expenses totaled $6.0 million.

For the first six months of 2026, operating expenses increased to $205.5 million, reflecting higher staffing levels, acquisition-related amortization, increased distribution fees and continued investment in business growth.

Higher Interest Costs Offset by Strong Investment Gains

Interest expense rose to $14.9 million during the quarter, reflecting both higher debt balances and elevated interest rates.

Interest income also improved to $3.2 million, supported by higher interest-earning assets.

WisdomTree recorded a $6.6 million loss related to the repurchase of a portion of its 2029 convertible senior notes.

The company also recognized a $1.4 million loss associated with the remeasurement of contingent consideration tied to the earlier acquisition of Ceres Partners.

Partially offsetting these items was a $6.4 million gain included in other gains and losses, primarily driven by:

  • A $4.4 million foreign exchange gain on British pounds held for the Atlantic House acquisition.
  • A $2.9 million gain on financial instruments owned.

Strategic Capital Management Continues

During the quarter, WisdomTree continued strengthening its balance sheet by retiring $126.9 million of convertible senior notes.

The retirement included:

  • $75.0 million of 2026 convertible notes.
  • $51.9 million of 2029 convertible notes.

The company paid approximately $207.5 million in cash to complete these transactions.

WisdomTree also continued returning capital to shareholders through share repurchases, buying back approximately 1.5 million shares for $25.9 million at an average purchase price of $17.40 per share.

Additionally, the Board declared a quarterly dividend of $0.03 per share, payable on August 26, 2026, to shareholders of record as of August 12, 2026.

Atlantic House Acquisition Expands Product Capabilities

One of the quarter’s most significant milestones was the completion of the acquisition of Atlantic House Holdings Limited, a London-based systematic investment manager overseeing approximately £4.1 billion ($5.5 billion) in assets.

Atlantic House specializes in defined-outcome investment strategies and derivatives-based solutions.

Management believes the acquisition significantly strengthens WisdomTree by:

  • Expanding its product capabilities.
  • Enhancing institutional distribution.
  • Increasing model portfolio offerings.
  • Supporting long-term organic and inorganic growth.

Continued Focus on Digital Assets

WisdomTree also reinforced its digital asset strategy during the quarter by appointing John Whelan as Head of Strategy, Digital Assets.

The appointment reflects the firm’s continued commitment to expanding tokenized investment products and blockchain-enabled financial infrastructure for both retail and institutional investors.

Celebrating 20 Years of ETF Innovation

June 2026 marked the 20th anniversary of WisdomTree listing its first exchange-traded funds on the New York Stock Exchange.

Over the past two decades, the company has evolved from an ETF specialist into a diversified global asset manager spanning:

  • Exchange-traded funds.
  • Private market investments.
  • Liquid alternatives.
  • Digital asset infrastructure.
  • Tokenized financial products.

New ETF Launches Expand Investment Offerings

Between May and July 2026, WisdomTree significantly expanded its ETF lineup across Europe and the United States.

In Europe, the company introduced:

Management Highlights Strong Long-Term Momentum

President and Chief Operating Officer Jarrett Lilien said the company’s sixth consecutive quarter of record assets under management demonstrates the quality and diversity of WisdomTree’s growth.

He noted that growth is being generated across multiple regions, asset classes and client segments rather than relying on any single investment strategy, positioning the company for continued organic expansion and improved profitability.

Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Steinberg said the second quarter reflects two decades of building a diversified global asset management platform.

According to Steinberg, WisdomTree has evolved from an ETF pioneer into a modern financial services company spanning ETFs, private markets, liquid alternatives and tokenized financial infrastructure. He added that management believes the company remains in the early stages of its long-term growth opportunity and sees significant potential ahead as investor demand continues to expand across traditional and digital investment solutions.
